One of the best ways to make a vehicle look more muscular and powerful is to make it even wider and lower. The more aggressive stance shows that it means business and this Audi R8 modified by XXX Performance and Schmidt GmbH is a perfect example with its lowered, widebody look paired up with a fresh, new wheel fitment, and orange and white wrapping.
What makes this Audi R8 so special is that it boasts a body kit and upgrades that were designed specifically for this application by the team at XXX Performance and Schmidt. Everything from the widebody to the wheels were constructed individually after 3-D scanning, development, and testing for a high-quality, OEM fitment.
At first glance, the Audi R8 makes quite a statement with its orange and white wrap and highlights paired up with the extended front and rear fenders. Up front, the fenders flare out an extra 40 mm while the rear extends and another 70 mm to provide an athletic stance, while integrating orange skirts and new air outlets to cool the brakes. At the rear sits a new valence that accommodates for the added width and features quad exhaust outlets along with a lower diffuser setup highlighted in orange.
After the suspension was lowered, the team at Schmidt got to work on installing their FS-Line wheels boasting a concave design and Radinox lips. The five, double-spoke wheels wear an orange face with polished lips and sit flush with the newly extended body work. Up front, the new Schmidt FS-Line wheels measure 9.5J x 20 ET6 with a 4.0-inch lip while the rear staggers in with a 12.5J x 20 ET2 setup and a larger 5.5-inch lip. To make sure these wheels stick to the asphalt, new Hankook S1 EVO tires were installed in a 305/25 R20 front and 235/30 R20 rear size.
To finish things off, the mid-mounted engine in the Audi R8 was outfitted with a throttle-controlled valve-operated exhaust system that’s quiet under low loads and roars when the pedal is to the metal.
All of the featured upgrades on the Audi R8 are available from XXX Performance along with the Schmidt GmbH wheels. Pricing has not been released. By: motoringexposure
